Each year, the South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club awards scholarships to several graduating high school students. The services of Scholarship America are utilized to arrive at the selection of recipients. The South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club members are the sole sponsors for these scholarships. Just since 2000, the Club has donated over $91,000 to 52 area students for post-secondary education assistance.

In 2011, three $2,000 scholarships were awarded. Recipients were Bryane Greene, Amanda Webbe, and Kathryn Hemstreet. The recipient of the $500 John Mike Memorial Scholarship was Joe Levine. Recipient of the $600 Bud Brown Memorial Scholarship was Catherine Jacobus.
In 2010, three $2,000 scholarships were awarded. Recipients were Nicholas J. Slipek, Paige A. Voigt, and Kelsey R. Walker. The $500 John Mike Memorial Scholarship is awarded in conjunction with the Club scholarships. The 2009 recipient of this scholarship was Brandon D. Renner.
