KFAN Radio Advertising

You may have noticed that the Club has been doing some advertising on KFAN Radio's (FM100.3) Thursday evening and Saturday morning Fan Outdoors Show, and on the Fan Outdoors Web Page. In addition, the regular host of the show, "The Captain" Billy Hildebrand, broadcast his show live at the Club the morning of the Federal Duck Stamp ceremony and served as the emcee of the event.

Shooting Discounts

Remember that  you can buy shooting cards for our Claymate target counting system, either by the league round, or individually for practice shooting. The sporting clays counters have a "delay" option that allows you to practice alone. Insert the card, push the "delay" button, and push the button; after a 3 second delay, marked by 3 beeps, the target(s) is (are) launched. You can set the counter to throw single targets, true pairs, or following pairs of the same or both targets in either order. This is a great way to groove your shooting stroke; try it out, I think you'll like it!

In addition, take advantage of our volume discount program, as follow:

Buy $150 - $499 on a shooting card, and we will add $5 extra to your shooting card;

Buy $500 - $999, and we will add $20 extra to your shooting card;

Buy $1,000+, and we will add $60 extra to your shooting card.

Shooting Supplies

Did you know we carry a large inventory of shooting supplies and merchandise? Click here to view our Pro Shop merchandise. And, if you don't see what you need, call me at the Club and, if we can get it, I'll order it for you.

Gun Safety Training

Our next class is scheduled for September 21, 22, and 29. Click here for details.

League News

Summer Leagues are now complete!

For all leagues other than Classic Trap and Elite Skeet, all teams were involved in shootoffs. All team members and individual league competitors could compete in the shootoffs if they've shot most, or all of, their league rounds, as detailed in the league rules. (For 2012 Summer League Rules, click here.)

The Summer League Banquet will be held on September 12. There will be gun drawings at the Summer League Banquet, but in order to be eligible for the gun drawings you must have shot all of your league rounds. Everyone who shot leagues will be eligible for the other door prizes.

League Sponsors - send us your logo and/or a link to your website, and we will place it on our website for free as a thank you for sponsoring a league team at the Gun Club. To view the League Sponsors page, click here. Email your logo or link to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Fall Leagues began August 25th, but there's plenty of time to join; all fall leagues are Individual Leagues.

Tournaments & Events

South St. Paul shooters did extremely well at the Minnesota State Sporting Clays Championship. Click here for details.

Our annual Summer Sizzler registered sporting clays shoot was held August 18. Our High Overall (HOA) was Club Member Mark Ollig, who shot 91/100. Great shooting, Mark. Click here for full results.

Our Fall Fling shoot will be held September 8th. We're offering registered skeet and registered 5-stand events. Be sure to join us; click here for details.

The Minnesota Landscape Association will be holding their annual shoot at the Club this year, on September 19th. It's a fundraising shoot for scholarships, and everyone is welcome.

Boy Scouts Fundraiser

The Boy Scouts held a sporting clays fundraising shoot on Monday, August 27th, and it was a big success. Thanks to those of you that came and supported their cause!

Scholarships

The 2012 Scholarship recipients have been announced! Did you know that since 2000 alone, the Club has donated over $91,000 to 52 area students to help with their post-secondary education? We should all be proud to be part of this! Click here to see the winners.

Tree Fund

You may have noticed donation containers at the Club for our new Tree Fund. The fabulous work that's being done on our berm will result in a need for tree planting on the berm, and that will be costly. So a voluntary Tree Fund has been established to raise money for this cause. Please contribute early and often if you can!

Club Closed on Labor Day

Please note that the Club is closed on Monday, September 3, Labor Day.

Pictures & Email Addresses

Keep sending photos for the website; we will post them as we receive them! We also have an "archived pictures" link on the website, so as photos roll off the Photo Gallery you'll be able to find them in the Archives.

Also, we are sending out more and more information via email. If we don't have your email address, or if it changes, please let us know by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
